| Started
gliding in 1972 with his younger brother, while his father
was their instructor. They bought a St. Cirrus in 1974 and
flew many contests in Belgium, Holland, France and Germany.
Became instructor in 1976
and got his PPL in 1978, acting mainly as tow pilot. They
switched from St. Cirrus to DG 300 and now flying a Ventus
cT. He became involved in the juniors team about four years
ago. He still instructs a tow in his club,but mainly
teaching the youngsters crosscountry soaring. He is involved
in the Association of Flemish Gliding Clubs and is
responsible for the competition commitee.
